The Relevance, Ranking Services & Orchestration team is part of the Digital area within the Commercial domain. We build and operate backend services that are an integral part of H&M’s global digital product discovery experience, including search, browsing, recommendations, autocomplete and related services across the customer journey. Our APIs and services help shape how customers discover products on H&M.com and contribute to a relevant, reliable and inspiring digital experience. We work at the intersection of backend engineering, search, relevance, ranking and orchestration, connecting data, platforms and experience layers to deliver solutions at global scale. The team is distributed across several locations, including Europe, the Americas and India, and collaboration is central to how we work. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative product team building and improving high-performance backend services that support product discovery for millions of customers. You will work closely with engineers, product managers and other technical teams to solve complex problems and continuously improve the relevance, performance and reliability of our services. You will contribute from design and development through testing, deployment and production support. You will also have the opportunity to explore how AI and GenAI can be applied to real business and engineering challenges, helping us bring promising solutions into production where they create meaningful value. Your responsibilities will include: Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot/WebFlux. Build scalable microservices
