Senior Data Engineer

Who you are We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Foundations team within the Remote & Chat Domain, Data & Analytics. Our team supports IKEA’s remote capabilities by building data products behind multichannel contact and resolutions systems and thus enabling comprehensive, holisitc data-analytics across the board. We work across the entirety of customer and coworker journey.In this role, you will help build reliable and scalable data solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making. We are looking for the following: Strong knowledge of advanced data structures, data architecture, distributed computing, and cloud-based services Strong knowledge of any of the cloud-based data warehousing tools such as GCP BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, etc. Strong knowledge of SQL for data processing and analysis Strong knowledge of data-transformation tools such as GCP Dataform, DBT, or analogs. Extensive knowledge of programming languages. We mainly use Python, but experience with other languages is also an advantage Understanding of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms Knowledge of tools for extracting, ingesting, and processing real-time and large datasets Experience with machine learning models, pipelines, and deployment Broad knowledge of digital product development principles and the importance of rapid, validated learning cycles to optimize long-term performance Broad knowledge of modern collaborative software engineering practices, such as Agile and DevOps, where solutions evolve through the efforts of self-organizing, cross-functional teams.
