Group Accountant

We’re looking for a Group Accountant for a company in Gothenburg. Start is ASAP, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg. Assignment description The Group Accountant plays a key role in preparing timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting for the Group. As part of the Group Accounting team, you will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial information to both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory reporting requirements. You will ensure the consistent application of accounting principles across the organization and assist with financial analysis, adjustments, and reporting processes.  Assignment description and main responsibilities: You will support the Group Accounting team with the following responsibilities: Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes, including preparation and validation of consolidation entries. Collaborate with subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions. Perform financial analysis and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting. Assist in the preparation of external IFRS financial reports, including notes and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings. Maintain consolidation system data and ensure consistency and accuracy across group entities. Contribute to the development and documentation of group accounting policies and processes. Participate in projects related to group accounting, reporting improvements, and system enhancements. Coordinate with auditors and assist in delivering required audit evidence and explanation.
