Role Summary This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden. As a Vehicle Function Owner (VFO) within TRATON/Scania, you are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of a vehicle function throughout its lifecycle. You act as the central point of coordination, ensuring that the function delivers customer value, meets quality expectations, and is aligned across brands, systems, and stakeholders. The role combines technical ownership, product thinking, and cross-functional leadership. You work closely with architects, product owners, developers, testers, and suppliers to define, develop, and validate the function in a complex, global environment. Job Responsibilities Define, create, and maintain functional requirements based on customer needs, legal demands, and platform strategies. Prepare and maintain relevant technical documentation to support development, sourcing, and supplier collaboration. Define and drive the feature roadmap across brands within the TRATON Group. Align function scope, priorities, and deliveries across TRATON brands and with external suppliers. Drive and support development activities together with Product Owners and development teams (e.g. backlog alignment in Jira).
