Berg Propulsion is now looking for an Engineering Manager Software Development to join the organisation. In this role, you will take on a key leadership position within software development, leading a team working with advanced control systems for marine propulsion solutions. You will play an important part in shaping how Berg continues to develop its software capabilities in a growing and increasingly complex environment. Sounds interesting? ABOUT THE ROLE As Engineering Manager Software Development, you will lead a team of 15 software developers working with advanced control systems for marine propulsion solutions. The development is mainly done on a Linux-based platform using technologies such as C, C++, Go, and React. The team operates across two main areas: order-based adaptations of existing products and development of next-generation systems and functionality. In this role, you combine leadership with technical understanding. You are responsible for driving structure, prioritisation, and ways of working within the team, while also contributing to technical discussions, architecture, and design decisions when needed. You will work closely with other parts of the organisation, including hardware, systems, and product teams, ensuring alignment and efficient collaboration across disciplines.
